1. Product introduction and applicable scope
Serpentine spring coupling is an embodiment of high-torque of gear coupling and flexibility of flexible coupling, for applications where high torque is required, it is the simplest and most economical coupling.
2. Structural features
T10 basic type coupling: use for double flexible closed design of four-bearing system. It is characterized by combination of horizontally half split housing, serpentine spring and coupling, which allows replacement easily-worn parts without moving the equipment connected.
T20 high-speed coupling: double flexible closed design. It is characterized by combination of vertically split steel housing and serpentine spring as well as coupling, mainly used for the operating conditions of high speed rotation.
T31 Double-flange type coupling, T35 single-flange type coupling: the middle section can be disengaged in order to facilitate maintenance of bearings and seals of the connected equipment. They are very ideal for use in pump.
T63 brake disc type coupling: it is better than the drum type brake in terms of cost, structure and performance etc.
3.Type codes of coupling shaft hole and keyway
1) Type and code of coupling shaft hole:
Y - cylindrical shaft hole
J – countersunk cylindrical shaft hole
Z – countersunk conical shaft hole
Z1 – non-countersunk conical shaft hole
2) Coupling type and code of coupling (keyway type)
A - flat key single-keyway
B - flat key double-keyway in 180-degree arrangement
C - conical shaft hole and flat key single-keyway

6)The shaft hole connection: sizes of driving and driven shaft holes, form of shaft hole, connection form of keyway, shaft diameter.
Designation example: 6120T10 YA120/YB95
Explanation: basic type coupling of serpentine spring with a torque of 13700 N·m, its driving shaft has cylindrical shaft hole, ordinary single-flat key, diameter of shaft hole is 120mm, the driven shaft has cylindrical shaft hole, 180° ordinary double-flat key, diameter of shaft hole is 95mm.
Note: Adopts JS9 specified in GB1095-79 standard when flat key connection is adopted, corresponding types and sizes of JB/T7934-1999 for expansion sleeve coupling when keyless connection is adopted.
